Communication is the most praised theme for both brokers, according to Transportvibe’s analysis of Royal Auto Ship vs Tempus Logix reviews on Google, Trustpilot, and BBB. Customers of both describe fast replies and clear updates. The differences show up in how you reach them and what happens once your car is on the truck.
Royal Auto Ship: named agents and long hours
Royal’s reviews keep naming the same people. Oscar and Nelson come up again and again, along with Joe, Ronald, and Dean. The testimonials on Royal’s homepage are hand-picked, so treat them as marketing. But the same pattern of named agents shows up in the independent reviews Transportvibe tracks.
Royal answers the phone Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, per its website and BBB profile. Its site says you get an update when a truck is booked, when your car is picked up, and when it’s delivered. Transportvibe’s profile also notes that every review mentioning driver professionalism was positive.
Tempus Logix: more ways to reach them, no live tracking
Tempus Logix gives you more ways to get in touch: phone, email, SMS, and website chat. Its Terms list hours of 9 AM to 10 PM Eastern on weekdays and 10 AM to 10 PM Eastern on weekends. Updates go out when a driver is assigned, at pickup, and at delivery.
The catch is in Clause 1.2. Tempus has no tracking devices, so every ETA is collected by hand from the carrier and passed on to you. If you like to watch a dot move across a map, you’ll be calling for updates. Transportvibe’s profile also flags issue resolution as “less consistently praised” than Tempus’s day-to-day communication.
Where communication broke down
BBB complaint files show the weak spots.
1. Royal, May 2026: a customer said the driver arrived a day early, pushed the dealer to release the car, then stopped answering. When the complaint was filed, the car was a day late and the customer didn’t know where it was. Royal replied that it was still trying to get updates from the carrier.
2. Royal, September 2025: someone said they got repeated texts they never signed up for, then pressure to remove a negative review. Royal apologized, blamed a third-party referral, and the complaint was marked resolved.
3. Tempus, 2026: a recent BBB review describes a “four-month claims battle” after a truck arrived with roof damage. That’s slow follow-through after something went wrong, not slow everyday contact.
